The NBA's Trade Deadline is drawing near, and the Toronto Raptors could go big, or take it easy -- with the latter being the clearly preferred option. In Episode 2025, Sean Woodley goes solo to talk about the latest reporting from Sportsnet's Michael Grange about the motivating factors for Bobby Webster and the Raptors' front office heading into the February 6th NBA Trade Deadline, and why it seems like they're not in the big fish exploration mode outside observers seem to think they might be. Sean talks about why it's absolutely the right call for the Raptors to take it easy and make small moves on the margins at this deadline, while steering clear of risky big swings that don't quite address the needs of a Raptors team that's still in a great position compared to preseason expectations. Next, Sean dives deep into why a trade for Ja Morant would be a bad idea for the Raptors to pursue, from the issues with his availability to his rough fit alongside the most important players for the Raptors' future: Scottie Barnes and Collin Murray-Boyles. Lastly, Sean looks at the arguments in favour of a move for the embattled Grizzlies guard -- would his rim pressure ability be enough to compensate for his lack of shooting and bad defense?

The Toronto Raptors lost a pair of games to the LA Clippers and LA Lakers over the weekend, and their offense in a couple particular circumstances is of real concern. In Episode 2024, Sean Woodley and Vivek Jacob discuss the Raptors OT loss to the Clippers as the team's clutch offense sputtered, as well as an injury-plagued loss to the Lakers on Sunday that showcased the Raptors' ineptitude against zone defense more clearly than ever before. Off the top, they chat about Toronto's issues scoring late in close games, and why a shift in the offensive hierarchy from Brandon Ingram being the lead option to a more of a Scottie Barnes-centric attack might be the way the go to buck the trend. Next, they chat about injuries piling up, with Collin Murray-Boyles thumb issue looming as an injury with the potential to tip the Raptors into a non-competitive place until they can get some more bodies back. Lastly, they run through The Good (Scottie Barnes' middies, CMB's general awesomeness), The Bad (offense again zone...
