The only logical solution to wrap up our look at the original X-Men trilogy is a updated re-release of our Caravan Of Garbage review from 2019. Sure Bryan Singer is now gone (for now) but luckily Brett "The Rat" Ratner has stepped in to take his place to conclude the stories of Wolverine, Gene Grey, Professor X, Magnet, Storm, Cyclops and many more characters that would continue to never die and re-appear in future prequels and sequels. By 2003 superhero movies were well back in vogue. Sam Raimi's Spider-Man from 2002 had become a massive hit, a serious Batman reboot was in the works and of course we got the return of Bryan Singer's (yuck) X-Men franchise with X2: X-Men United. Cast your mind back to the year 2000. Okay great. And now think about the movie X-Men which introduced the world to the modern superhero movie with the likes of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Patrick Stewarts a bald guy, Ian McKellen as Magnet and Halle Berry as a much underused Storm. And with the likes of James Marsden coming back as Cyclops for Avengers: Doomsday in 2026 this decades old Marvel franchise has never been more relevant. And then there's the Bryan Singer of it all.
