Rex Heuermann, a New York-based architect, pleaded guilty to seven murders spanning nearly two decades, admitting to strangling all eight victims and dumping their remains across Long Island. He faces multiple life sentences, with sentencing scheduled for June 17, 2026.

On April 2, 2026, the Colorado Court of Appeals reversed the conviction of  Letecia Stauch and ordered a retrial after finding that a biased juror had been improperly allowed to deliberate. Letecia was originally convicted in 2023 of the murder of her 11-year-old stepson Gannon and was sentenced to life in prison.
