High-powered Hollywood talent agent Mackenzie Monroe is finally ready to rest, relax and celebrate Christmas this year with her boyfriend, Nick Tenenbaum, and NOT solve a murder. But, there has been a change of plans. Instead of going to Evergreen, Ohio to see Nick and his mom, Diane, Nick asks Mackenzie to accompany him to Garland, Ohio and to Mistletoe Manor, owned by the wealthy Mistletoe family, where Nick has agreed to take over groundskeeping duties after the sudden and tragic death of his uncle John. Mackenzie agrees, and the couple are soon on their way to the stately manor in Southern Ohio.
