Oilers take Game 1, Jason Dickinson shines, and losing Adam Henrique

    2026-04-21 | 1h
It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' Game 1 win over the Anaheim Ducks, Jason Dickinson's brilliant playoff opener, and more.

We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about whether the Ducks can hang with the Oilers after the visitors dominated the second period. While the Oilers had a fantastic start to the game, they really took their foot off the gas in the middle frame and nearly allowed the Ducks to steal one. While no one wanted to disrespect Anaheim, the boys thought the Oilers showed why their experience matters.

Shifting gears, the boys dug into the details from last night's game, and how it was almost a tale of three games, depending on which period you're talking about. Starting with Edmonton's power play struggles, it was strange to see the boys struggle as mightily as they did with the full group back together. The good news is they'll likely be better than in Game 1. The guys also discussed Anaheim's settling into a hybrid trap system that wasn't really what they were doing for most of the season.

Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with a look at a run of different stories, including Adam Henrique going down in the first period, and what that means for the lineup going forward. The boys also looked around the NHL at the other playoff series and picked out some of the biggest storylines through the first few games.

Whether it's some of the upsets in Game 1, likelihood of rebounding, or anything in between, there was a lot to discuss on the Tuesday episode of ONR.

Oilers Playoff Preview: Goaltending Questions Answered

    2026-04-18 | 9 mins.
Devan Dubnyk is back with another episode of Ask Dubey, coming to you from New Jersey as the Edmonton Oilers gear up for the Stanley Cup Playoffs 🔥

With playoff hockey right around the corner, Dubey dives deep into the Oilers’ biggest question mark: goaltending. Is Connor Ingram the clear-cut starter? Can he handle the pressure of a playoff run? And if things go sideways… who gets the call?

Dubey answers your questions and breaks down:

-Why Connor Ingram has earned the net heading into playoffs
-Whether there’s any risk of burnout down the stretch
-How much leash Ingram will actually have in the postseason
-Who would step in if needed: Tristan Jarry or Calvin Pickard
-Confidence level in Edmonton’s goaltending situation

Plus, Dubey shares his own playoff experience and what it takes mentally and physically to handle the pressure between the pipes.

With stars like Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard leading the way, expectations are high in Edmonton… but it all comes down to what happens in net.

Reviewing pre-season predictions and a preview for the Oilers and Ducks

    2026-04-17 | 1h 14 mins.
It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' first round matchup against the Anaheim Ducks, recapping the 2025-26 season predictions, line combinations, injury updates, and more.

We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about how everyone thinks the Oilers' first round will go against the Anaheim Ducks. Starting with our series predictions, all the boys shared their takes on how long they think this series will last and where they think the challenges will be. From maintaining their structure to getting timely goals from throughout the lineup, there are plenty of reasons to believe the Ducks will be more than a pushover.

Shifting gears, the boys recapped their pre-season predictions from back in October. As you'll hear, the crystal balls didn't have much magic in them this year. Despite the laundry list of options, predicting things correctly is almost impossible. Even so, the segment as a whole was a blast as the boys had to realize that they're not all that great at predicting the future. Will their failures at predicting deter the group from trying again? Absolutely not.

Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. With the 2025-26 season wrapped up, the guys spent the bulk of the podcast moving through a range of topics, most related to the playoffs, but that’s the way things go on the Friday episode of ONR.

Oilersnation Radio: Waiting on the Oilers' playoff opponent and start date

    2026-04-14 | 1h 9 mins.
It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed the Oilers' potential playoff matchups, injury updates, the final regular-season game against Vancouver, and much more.

We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about which of the five potential playoff opponents the boys would rather face in Round 1. Given the list of potential opponents, features Colorado, Anaheim, Utah, Vegas, and Los Angeles, there is a case to be made for any of those teams being the best starting point. But as you'll hear, the boys really didn't have a consensus on where they would want Edmonton to start.

Changing gears, the guys discussed what the schedule might look like for Round 1 and took a few guesses on whether the Oilers will start on Saturday, Sunday, or even Monday. Given that the NHL likes to split up the Canadian teams as best they can, the question is whether the Oilers kick off their run on the weekend or have to wait until Monday.

Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Baggedmilk's Trivia and Tenable. With Liam's game uniting the fellas for one common goal, the guys put their brains together to try to check off all of the items on the list. Think you know all the answers to Liam's Tenable game? Easier said than done, friends. Did the quizmaster have to step in? Did Liam get his topic right? You'll have to listen to find out for sure.

Chris Pronger Relives Oilers Iconic 2006 Run

    2026-04-11 | 25 mins.
It’s a special edition of Ask Dubey as Devan Dubnyk is joined by hockey legend Chris Pronger for a can’t-miss conversation.

From stories about the unforgettable 2006 Stanley Cup Final run with the Edmonton Oilers to life after hockey, this episode dives deep into one of the most respected careers in the game.

Pronger shares what it really took for that Oilers team to go on a Cinderella run — from late-season belief to battling adversity against powerhouse teams — and why that group was so special despite falling just short.

The conversation then shifts to his new book, where Pronger reflects on the highs, the lows, and the lessons learned throughout his career. From betting on yourself to navigating adversity, it’s a candid look at what it truly means to earn success — on and off the ice.

    They also get into:
    • What made the 2006 Oilers locker room so unique
    • The intensity and energy of playoff hockey in Edmonton
    • How writing a book changed Pronger’s perspective on his career
    • Why there’s no “perfect path” to the NHL
    • His thoughts on youth hockey today and why kids should play multiple sports
    • The mindset required to overcome adversity and grow

Whether you’re an Oilers fan, a hockey fan, or just love hearing elite athletes break down their journey — this one’s packed with insight and great stories.
