Changing gears, we kept the breakdown going of Tuesday's loss against the St. Louis Blues. Starting with the defence making life more difficult than it needs to be with their lack of physicality in front of the net. Are the Oilers' defenders too soft when players are in their goalie's face? Changing gears, we looked at Jack Roslovic starting to settle into his role in the top-six, which prompted a conversation about whether the Oilers should look at an extension. It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers losing three of four, some recent milestones on the roster, David Tomasek's first NHL goal, line combos, and much more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about Evan Bouchard's rough night against New York, and whether anyone is worried about what was a miserable evening for No. 2. While there's no doubt that Bouchard didn't play well against the Rangers, being too concerned about him this early in the year probably doesn't make sense either. That said, he definitely needs to play better given the minutes he commands, and it will be interesting to see if he faces any supplementary discipline like Darnell Nurse did a couple nights before. Continuing with the breakdown of the last few games for Edmonton, the Oilers blew a two-goal lead against the Rangers on Thursday, which was incredibly disappointing and frustrating given how they had dominated the game early. In the span of just under four minutes, the Oilers went from being up by two goals to being in a tie game. Even with a late power play opportunity, the boys couldn't get the job done.
