Actor and writer Kayla Lorette (Netflix’s Wayward) joins Mark and Ryan to talk about growing up in Pamela Anderson’s home town of Ladysmith, BC. She talks about her cool drama teacher, her high school improv team that didn’t wear shoes, and the pseudo science film What the Bleep Do We Know!? She also talks about her deep connection with the goth kids of Vancouver Island. For our town she builds a grocery story with a wine bar call The Spirits of Grocery, a beach where teens hang out, a we see a tax dispute between local magicians and an order of witches.

Podcaster and comedian Abdul Aziz (Spout Lore) drops by to tell us about growing up in The United Arab Emirates and Dundas, Ontario. He talks about his school in the UAE having an airplane hangar and about how his high school in Dundas was turned into a cemetery. Comedian Allie Entwistle joins Mark and guest host Christine Bortolin to tell us all about Kelowna, BC’s infamous “boob wall”. They actually talk a lot about the night life in Kelowna. It inspires a nightclub in town called Zero Love that has its own special wall. Allie also tells us about a very unremarkable museum and a place known as Parrot Island. This inspires some wild improv and of course we get our own parrot sanctuary called Squak Palace. Also be warned: there is a lot of talk of “clampsh” in this episode - the town’s very confusing currency. Oh yeah, and a London Drugs gets built in town.
