After another day of action at the Olympics, Canada finds its quarterfinal opponent in Czechia. Matt and Blake get into the matchup, the recent and far history betwee the two nations, and the lineup tweaks that are possible. After a nice tourney so far from EP40, the guys debate whether his trade interest has increased and they respond to reports of possible interest from the Kings. The Sheet's Jeff Marek weighs in on all of this as well, but also the standout performances of Macklin Celebrini. Jeff also walks down memory lane of Canada vs the Czechs in the 1998 Olympics and on the shootout selections gone awry. Cam Robinson from Elite Prospects drops by and his take on the performance of Elias Pettersson so far at the Olympics. He talks about the possibility of a boosted trade value for the Canucks, if they chose to try and deal him. He also gets into some hidden gems that the Canucks could trade a veteran to get, and whether Quinton Byfield is fair return for EP40. He also has the latest on Gavin Mckenna's season in the wake of the assault charges, and who he's looking at in the WHL top prospects game. Then it's a visit from Ashton Bell, from the Vancouver Goldeneyes, with a look ahead to the team's upcoming 5 game homestand. Ashton talks about the aim for the 2nd half of the season, the vibes at the rink, and the health of the PWHL at large. As an Olympic champ, she also gives her thoughts on the Canadian team and the gameplan in the gold medal showdown vs Team USA. The guys wrap up the show with a season preview for the Whitecaps, the rest of the Olympic story for Canada, the Seahawks' offseason to-do list, and the NBA All-Star game... entertains??
