In Revelation, Jesus is described as both the Lion of Judah and as a slain lamb. This deliberate paradox helps explain why Jesus is worthy of all our praise. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson teaches on Revelation, chapter 5. He discusses the importance of worship and the value our prayers have—both to us and to God. Pastor Allen also walks through the gift of Jesus' sacrifice and the immense blessings God has given us through His blood: cleanliness, justification, sanctification, and forgiveness. Jesus Christ has all authority in Heaven and on Earth, and we can rest in the assurance of His victory. He is the Head of the Church!

Is our goal to be accepted and approved by the destructive culture around us, or are we willing to let God's wisdom direct our decisions? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the simple truths about the character of God and His Kingdom revealed in the book of Proverbs. One example is that we can only walk in the authority found in God's Word when we first choose to yield to it. Pastor Allen also teaches about the spiritual power of our own words. They carry the power to hurt or the power to help, so let's learn to use our words wisely. Thankfully, God has promised to help us and give us wisdom when we seek Him.

A fundamental characteristic of being "God smart" is leaning into the things we know wholeheartedly and not spending inordinate effort or energy trying to discern the things we can't know. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how Proverbs helps us focus on what God wants us to prioritize. As we seek God, it can be tempting to want to uncover "hidden knowledge" or "biblical secrets," but the Bible clearly tells us the best path is obedience to the Lord's clear instructions. Pastor Allen teaches on the End of the Age and why storing up God's simple, clear wisdom today will reap the greatest harvest in the future. Let's set our sights on achieving what He's already put before us.

Success, by secular standards, can't satisfy us. We need to have higher aspirations than accumulating material wealth, pleasure, or other measures of earthly accomplishment. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses what King Solomon and the book of Proverbs have to say about living a successful life. King Solomon was one of the richest men in history, yet he wrote in Ecclesiastes that all his wealth and life experiences were worth nothing. Pastor Allen explains the real measurements of success we should be looking for in our lives, and he explores why we can trust God—and why we should aim to be people God can trust. Proverbs tells us the voice of folly is loud, so let's train our ears to hear wisdom when she speaks.

Our choices deliver outcomes to our lives, and the book of Proverbs shows us the decisions that lead to blessings—and those that lead to curses. So, why wouldn't we choose behaviors that bring God's blessings? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson shares what Proverbs teaches us about abundance and poverty. He discusses the importance of work and generosity, as well as the biblical definition of abundance. It can be easy to slip into laziness or selfishness, but Proverbs tells us clearly what the products are of those behaviors. God's character is revealed in His Word, and in this book of wisdom, He tells us the right choices to make. Let's listen to His guidance!
