Before any of that, Joel was a Bible software salesman at the peak of his career, traveling 150,000 miles a year while his marriage quietly fell apart. His oldest son started hiding his travel bag because he knew dad would leave when it came out.
Joel, Joby, and Denny talk about the reality of spiritual warfare and why the enemy's tactics are more subtle than most people expect. Joel breaks down the ancient pattern of temptation through what we see, what we desire, and what we take, and how that same pattern shows up today through addiction, pornography, AI, entertainment, and comfort. Pastor Joby Martin and Denny Thompson sit down with Super Bowl champion Brady Russell of the Seattle Seahawks.

Brady grew up in church, led FCA in high school, and knew all the right answers. But looking back, he realized there was a major difference between knowing about Jesus and actually knowing Him.

Brady walks through the seasons when God’s plan made little sense in the moment. At Colorado, he had every reason to leave, but while praying he felt God tell him to “be where your feet are.” What followed was one of the hardest seasons of his life, and Brady began wondering if he had heard God wrong. It was only later that he saw what God had been doing through him the entire time.

Joby, Denny, and Brady talk about trusting God when you cannot see the outcome, why obedience often comes before understanding, how to recognize God’s faithfulness in hindsight, and what it looks like to follow Jesus when the people around you do not. Brady shares why he prayed for a platform as a kid, only to discover that his greatest platform would not be fame or attention. It would be the relationships right in front of him.

Today, Brady is using that platform to disciple other NFL players, lead Bible studies, and live out a faith that can be seen in the way he works, leads, and serves. It is a conversation about being faithful where God has placed you and trusting that no season is wasted when He is the one leading you.
