Drama, Darling: A Real Housewives Comedy Podcast

Amy Phillips and Jamie Moyer recap a whirlwind Detroit weekend for the Coney fundraiser benefiting the Children’s Fund of Michigan and the Detroit Creativity Project, raising $2.7 million for kids and arts education. Amy performed a Joumana K. Roos billboard-lawyer bit with Andy Richter, met celebrities, enjoyed VIP box seats at a Tigers game during Justin Verlander’s last game, and visited a Lions game suite at Ford Field, plus stayed at the Shinola Hotel and received swag including a Shinola watch; they also note Joumana reposted Amy’s impression. They then pivot to Real Housewives of Salt Lake City in San Francisco, discussing new cast member Ashley Kwai’s rough start, sprinter-van strategy and alliances, Whitney’s recurring apology pattern, Meredith’s wig and facelift talk, the toothbrush story, Mary’s grief and boundaries, Lisa’s “Oscars” claims, and signs of trouble in Angie and Sean’s marriage.

Amy Phillips and Emily Dorezas recap The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (episode two), starting with a Patreon note asking listeners to comment with a new name for Emily’s studio and teasing studio upgrades. They discuss new housewife Ashley Quai’s luxe mountaintop introduction, bold glam, and her ties to Whitney through the late Sherry, plus Ashley’s jokes about her husband and her not naming his job. They break down the season’s early wave of apologies—especially Heather’s public apology to Lisa about Ultimate Girls Trip and Whitney’s attempts to repair relationships—while noting Meredith’s refusal to accept “storytelling.” They highlight Meredith’s fresh facelift and wig, the chaotic group fighting, a ski day where Lisa doesn’t ski, Angie’s mishaps, and Bronwyn’s yurt date with Brandon and the mixed messaging about publicity. Amy closes with travel and charity-event plugs and upcoming coverage.

Amy Phillips and Deanna Cheng open with quick “dish,” including Amy’s appearance at The Coney charity event at the Detroit Opera House benefiting the Children’s Fund of Michigan and brief Bravo news, then pivot into a recap of Real Housewives of New York. They discuss the cast dynamics and highlight Jessel and Erin’s ongoing feud, criticizing Jessel’s pre-written reads and her comments about Erin’s home flooding for insurance. They react to Erika and Ankur’s extreme wealth (including a private island), Erika’s health update about liver growths affecting pregnancy plans and surrogacy, and Daisy’s friendship with Martha Stewart. They condemn the women mocking Daisy’s rent-controlled apartment and praise the show’s authentic New York setting.
