Fresh allegations have emerged about Married At First Sight Australia following a SafeWork NSW investigation into the show's workplace practices.
Documents reveal claims including non-consensual touching, a bride allegedly being filmed in the shower without her knowledge or consent, violence and aggression by both cast and producers, contestants allegedly being prevented from leaving set, and serious concerns about participant privacy and safety.
In this episode, we unpack the allegations raised with SafeWork NSW, the investigation's findings, the three improvement notices issued to those responsible for the production, and Channel Nine and Endemol Shine's response.
We also revisit the Paul Antoine wall-punching incident, the NSW Police investigation, ACMA's findings, and the growing concerns surrounding contestant welfare, psychological safety and duty of care behind the scenes of Australia's biggest reality TV franchise.
Plus, why many former contestants, advocates and viewers believe these incidents are no longer isolated controversies, but part of a much bigger pattern.
And what does all of this mean for the future of MAFS?
TRIGGER WARNING: This episode discusses allegations of violence, aggression, sexual misconduct, coercive control and participant welfare concerns. Listener discretion is advised.
