Mickey Brown’s passion for watches began with his dad and brother. His career took him into aerospace engineering, designing lightweight structures for fighter jet radar systems. Parivas is where those two worlds meet.

This week, we talk with the Parivas co-founder about the Exo.1, a mechanical watch built around an intricate 3D-printed metal lattice—and the years spent waiting for manufacturing technology to catch up with the idea.

Mickey explains what it takes to turn metal powder into a finished watch, why seemingly tiny mistakes can scrap an entire case, and how details like replaceable tritium tubes and the “Solar Dusted” finish came to life.

We survived the Toronto Timepiece Show… and what a weekend it was.

After three packed days of watches, interviews, new friends, old friends, countless steps and very little sleep, Alex, Jordan and Rich sat down Sunday night to wrap up an experience we won’t soon forget.

This isn’t a full breakdown of everything we saw at the show. It’s three tired watch nerds, still buzzing from the weekend, talking about the people, watches and moments that stood out.

We talk about Rich’s first-ever watch show, a few new watch alerts, brands that impressed us, some incredible conversations, and just how special the watch community can be when you get everyone together in one place.

Most of all, this episode is our chance to say thank you — to Jason Hutton and the entire Toronto Timepiece Show team, all the brands and creators, our friends in the community, and everyone who stopped to say hello and talk watches with us.
