  • Lizzie Borden
Have you heard of Lizzie Borden? Lizzie Borden was an American woman suspected of murdering her stepmother and father in 1892; her trial became a national sensation in the United States. There was even a the popular rhyme about the Borden murders: “Lizzie Borden took an ax/And gave her mother forty whacks/When she saw what she had done/She gave her father forty-one.” But was Lizzie Borden guilty or innocent?

  • The BTK Killer
This serial killer has had countless books written, tv show episodes and movies about him, if you've read or seen Stephen Kings novella The Good Marriage which was inspired by none other than Dennis Rader, The BTK Killer. Between 1974 and 1991, he killed ten people in Wichita and Park City, Kansas, and sent taunting letters to police and media outlets describing the details of his crimes.

  • Son of Sam-David Berkowitz
During the mid 1970's David Berkowitz began a lengthy crime spree throughout the New York boroughs of the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens, seeking young female victims. He was purportedly most attracted to white women with long dark wavy hair. All but one of the crime scenes involved two victims; he infamously committed some of his attacks while the women sat with boyfriends in parked cars. He started killing because he claims a dog possessed by a demon told him to do so, hence giving him the nickname Son of Sam.
