9: Tony Tanti: Vancouver’s Original Sniper.
Tony Tanti, known to many as one of the first true snipers in Vancouver history, joins John Shannon and Landon Ferraro on 100% Canucks. Originally drafted 12th overall by Chicago in 1981, Tanti was traded to Vancouver in 1983, where he blossomed into an elite goal scorer, netting at least 39 goals in five straight seasons and winning the team’s “Most Exciting Player” award five times in a row. He also played in the NHL All-Star Games in 1984 and 1986 and became a fan favorite for his knack for finding the back of the net.
