    Lenny Kaye

    2026-07-21 | 49 mins.
Today's guest, Lenny Kaye couldn't be more suited to The RSD Podcast. He's a celebrated author, guitarist, music journalist, and record producer, who has finally, after all this time, released his very first solo album, Goin' Local, out now from Yep Roc. In addition to his many decades as Patti Smith's guitarist and aide-de-camp, Lenny was also the architect of the highly influential 1972 garage rock/psychedelic compilation, Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, which launched many sequels, and more than a few bands, in its wake.
We talk about all of the above, and more, in this very special conversation.
