Researchers at EPFL led by Gregoire Courtine have enabled a paralyzed man to walk again through the use of BCI and a spinal implant. It's an incredinle proof of concept. 4) Positive environmental news: a large snapping turtle was found in the Chicago River which shows that we can address our transgressions, learn from our mistakes, and leave a positive impact on the environment. In this video we talk about our work on building a better brain computer interface. We are beginning to analyze the data we have gathered. In the news there is a study on fMRI used with AI to detect the words people are thinking. A study from 2022 achieved better results using EEG/EMG and a speech model. Positive environmental news: a healthy coral reef discovered in the Galapagos. Scientists have revised their climate models to show less warming and humanity is beginning to find ways to reduce our carbon output.
