• RED SOX POSTCAST- Red Sox Finish Off Homestand by Blanking the Rangers

  The Red Sox finished up their Homestand with a 5-0 win over the Texas Rangers Thursday afternoon in front of 27,800 at Fenway Park. The Red Sox took 2 of 3 from the Rangers after dropping the series opener and finished 3-3 against the Twins and Rangers. Justin Slaten worked an 1.1 scoreless innings and picked up the win in relief. It's the 3rd combined shutout of the season for the Red Sox pitching staff.  -----Bello On The Bump: Brayan Bello worked in and out of trouble several times during his 4th start of the season.  Bello benefited from 2 Double Plays turned behind him on the infield. Alex Cora pulled him after he gave up a 2-out walk to Joc Pederson, his 5th free pass of the game. Justin Slaten came in from the bullpen and got the final out of the inning and stranding 2 base runners. Bello went 4.2 scoreless and allowed 4 hits, all singles. He struck out 1 hitter. Red Sox did improve to 4-0 in Bello's 4 outings with Thursday's win. -----#'s of the DAY: Rafael Devers stole 2nd after he collected an RBI single in the 5th Inning to make it 3-0.  Devers is the 11th Red Sox player to collect a stolen base this season.  Devers made it 5-0 with a solo Home Run in the 7th, his 6th on the season.  The Red Sox have won each of their last 3 series after losing the season opener. The Red Sox improved to 18-8 when hitting at least 1 Home Run in a game this season. Boston is now 14-5 when scoring 1st in a game on the season.    -----What's On Tap?: The Red Sox open up a 6-game road trip with the 1st of 3 against the Royals in Kansas City Friday night. Hunter Dobbins is expected to make the start in the series opener. Michael Lorenzen is scheduled to start against Dobbins. • RED SOX POSTCAST- Alex Bregman Has a Night & Red Sox End Losing Streak

  The Red Sox avoided a 4th straight loss and got back to .500 with a 6-4 comeback win over the Texas Rangers Wednesday night at Fenway Park.  Alex Bregman broke a 3-3 tie with a 2-out, 2-run single in the bottom of 7th inning and the Red Sox did not trail again.  Bregman went 3-for-4 with a solo Home Run and a Double as well. Wilyer Abreu hit his 2nd solo Home Run of the night in the 8th to make it 6-3.  Aroldis Chapman gave up a solo Home Run to Josh Jung, but got the final out to register his 5th save of the season.  -----#'s of the NIGHT:  It was the Red Sox 7th comeback win of the season.   The Red Sox took one on the chin and lost 6-1 in the series opener against the Texas Rangers Tuesday night at Fenway Park. With Tuesday night's loss, the Red Sox have lost 5 of 6 and are a game below .500 at 18-19. The Red Sox were out hit, 16-6 by the Rangers and were held to 6 hits or less for the 9th time this season. ----- Giolito At Fenway: Lucas Giolito made his 1st start at Fenway with the Red Sox and he was unable to get out of the 4th Inning.
