  • EP. 220 - End of an Era…. Where do WE the People all go from here?
Previously recorded on December 19, 2024 : There’s just too much to cover! This is a “Documenting Life” episode where our cohosts, Amiee and Matthew, document current worldly events in real time for educational and historical archiving purposes. Why? Because it’s important to document life especially during historical and unprecedented times. It’s how we study, learn and, hopefully, grow in the future as a society.Topics covered and discussed include:- Trump’s unconstitutional deportation plans are not based in reality for the size he says he wants it done, let alone the fact that the action of it is beyond unconscionable, inhumane treatment of human beings and tax-paying citizens. Millions of people will be harmed by these actions of deportation and it’s very dehumanizing and unacceptable on so many levels. Deportation does not need to be inhumane and positive border security reform IS plausible. But NOT like this.- Updates on the Luigi Mangione vigilante case starts and he arrives in New York City for the murder of the CEO. Where does it go from here?- How do We The People trust the judicial system anywhere now when judges are so transparent, corrupt and their actions keep showing support for fascism? -Is there going to be a government shutdown because they cannot come to an agreement by 2025? Is this how 2025 starts for America??….News Sources and Audio Clipsof December 19, 2024:- Scott Macfarlane on CBS NEWS******************************************“Be the Change you want to see and Let’s Talk About it!”Send us questions or topics you’d like to have discussed: Email: [email protected]: @thelatenightlockdownCONNect-the-Dots ProductionsThe Late Night Lockdown Podcast TMCopyright 2020-2025

  • EP. 219 - Documenting Life in the Moment of Chaos - Part Uno
Previously recorded on December 4 & 5, 2024, There’s just too much to cover! This is a “Documenting Life” episode where our cohost Amiee documents current worldly events for educational and historical archiving purposes. Why? Because it’s important to document life especially during historical and unprecedented times. It’s how we learn and, hopefully, grow. (Because Who the f*ck knows! Maybe years from now in the America dystopia it’s the “last audio tapes” left to hear the accurate world history and to have people learn from it. This is yet another reason why education, imagination and learning world history matters in every person’s life. Education is ALWAYS a human right. In this episode, the current historical events covered include:- the South Korean martial law crisis - Israel IDF continues bombing Palestinian hospitals- Hegseth’s frat boy past comes back to haunt him and shows exactly why he is absolutely unfit and literally unqualified for the job of the 29th U.S. Secretary of Defense.- Continuing to advocate and protect reproductive rights, freedoms and healthcare.- Protecting the civil and human rights of documented AND undocumented immigrants. Why? Because we are ALL human beings and have f*cking Human Rights no matter where we are from. - Manhunt for Luigi Mangione - the CEO killer and aka new “Batman” vigilante for our society’s New “Gotham” reality. What’s the slippery slope from here? • EP. 218 - WE The People Need to stay ACTIVE and Stop Being A F*cking HYPOCRITES.
Welcome back to The Late Night Lockdown! Uff da! It's been a rough several weeks for everyone, hasn't it? You're not alone. Originally recorded in October 2024, (please forgive the noise of our much needed Air Conditioner running in the background that day) - On this episode, our co-hosts, Amiee and Matthew, get back to focusing and conversing over several social issues that need to be acknowledged and discussed. The better and more often we openly talk about these things the better we can understand each other and have educated opinions to then find realistic solutions. The People Need to stay ACTIVE and Americans Need to Stop Being F*cking HYPOCRITES. Staying active with Democratic engagement is a must at ALL times, not just when it is convenient for you or when it just directly affects you. It's not just a season you care about for a bit and then swipe it away for the remainder of the year. Your votes and your educated knowledge on important matters that directly affect tax-payers/citizens lives, including your very own, is WHY your votes matter. If you don't care who represents you and what they do with that power, than you get the charlatans and frauds with bad leadership which is then a ripple effect that directly affects people's lives. Staying active matters because, whether you like Politics or not, it doesn't care: Politics will and does affect your daily life 365 days a year. We know, we know! It CAN be so boring, BUT if it directly affects your life and your loved ones, don't you WANT to know what the f*ck is going on? Realistically, we all live in a gigantic 'World Chess Game' and we're watching live in action right now. What started our country in the first place? Taxation WITHOUT Representation. So WHY do we still have places that are American but don't do this?? ie Washington DC, Puerto Rico, etc. Other topics on this episode include Women's rights and our bodily autonomy education for all ages so that we can be an educated and compassionate society instead of a hateful, judging one. And the Book Review segment covers: The Diary of Anne Frank - a must read for EVERYONE if you haven't already, and especially right now. The similarities between then and now is very concerning beyond words and something we all should be aware of and acknowledging the facts of as we start this new administration. • EP. 217 - Back from Hiatus: Democracy is still NOT a Monarchy and for damn good reasons!
Originally recorded on 9/2/24: Back from a long hiatus, our co-hosts, Amiee and Matt, catch up on the social issues of the day with of course a little comedy and humor to lighten the dark wrath of the world today. Topics included: their personal experiences and opinions on gun safety and common- sense gun laws, HERstorical DNC Reviews, some examples of what the Biden/Harris administration ACTUALLY HAS accomplished within the last 4 years and no one can ever deny, the actual truth about Trump’s tax breaks, and how the Republican Party is officially a cartoon Disney parody of itself. Lockdown question:For republicans, why DON’T you want a better planet, a better place and future for yourself and your loved ones? Why is that not important and a priority to humans for all humans to realistically find solutions together for the betterment and survival of all? “Be the Change you want to see and Let’s Talk About it!”Send us questions, concerns or topics you’d like to discuss: Email: [email protected]: @thelatenightlockdownAnd if you also like to support Women and Allies please support our other podcast: J.A.N.E.
