It just wouldn't be Eurovision season without a visit to the doctor: Dr. Ella Hubber from Let's Learn Everything. The good doctor joins us once again, heroically watching nine hours of national finals to comment on this week's contests, including what might be the worst song of the year (so far). Jeremy is ready to bust out his dance license, Dimitry's got snowballs in his pockets, Ella is all in on an emo f-boy, and Oscar lives fast but his hips move slow.

The national finals start coming fast and furious from here on out, so all our Saturdays will be super for the next weeks. We've got Estonia's Eesti Laul, Latvia's Supernova and Denmark's Melodi Grand Prix this week, with three new winners and a lot of previous competitors coming back for a chance at glory. Jeremy identifies a new type of mom song, Dimitry nearly swears off his status as a Stanmark for Denmark, and Oscar's ravin' at the Taj Mahal.

We're back to national final season, and boy, is it a good one. Ukraine's Vidbir is here, and with it, a veritable wave of Eurovision royalty: Jamala, Zlata Ognevich, Jerry Heil, Ziferblat, Monokate... it's a veritable cornucopia of ESC talent. Jeremy likes it when things get just a little Jesus-y, Dimitry is exposed as a Ruslana simp, and Oscar's looking for Mr. Vel.

Dimitry finally got his wish granted: we're finally taking a look at Spain's very first Benidorm Fest from 2022, and wouldn't you know it? It's a doozy. Comedian and voice actor Tony Rodriguez (The Simpsons, Tiny Toons Looniversity) joins us to take a listen to the pack of songs that eventually gave us Chanel. Jeremy wonders if it's emo or émo, Dimitry hits the disco dance floor, Tony's looking for Alaska, and Oscar just wants his mamá.

The national finals are about to hit us like a tidal wave, but not quite yet - for now, it's the gentle rain of Luxembourg's eight-song national final, and its excellent lineup of interval acts and guests. It's nice to have the time to discuss a pretty fun show, as things will get much trickier next month! Jeremy dreams of a physicist-pop star girlfriend, Dimitry spots another Rybak devotee in the wild, and Oscar wants to pitch on the Sweet Tooth stage show.
