  • Episode 93: Silver Medal Superstars 2
In honor of our Silver Signal Award, we're bringing back Silver Medal Superstars, a tribute to all the great second place entries in Eurovision that don't get nearly as much love as the winners. For this look back, we're joined by Eurovangelists fan and DJ Cecily Herzig of Connections with Cecily, a great music show on Royalton Community Radio in Vermont. Jeremy's finding the New Seekers everywhere he looks, Dimitry gives his Bettan history lecture, Cecily dreams of pop girlie babushki, and Oscar proves his unspoken bond with Cecily.Learn more about Cecily and her radio show, and listen to the most recent episode: https://www.royaltonradio.org/meet-cecily-herzig/Watch all the Silver Medal Superstars from this week on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLd2EbKTi9fyVPxA2wWaA7bnyWjJ0YGuFtThis week's companion playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/34BcnN3FdWpaXfDBpSLLSx The Eurovangelists are Jeremy Bent, Oscar Montoya and Dimitry Pompée.The theme was arranged and recorded by Cody McCorry and Faye Fadem, and the logo was designed by Tom Deja.Production support for this show was provided by the Maximum Fun network. The show is edited by Jeremy Bent with audio mixing help was courtesy of Shane O’Connell.Find Eurovangelists on social media as @eurovangelists on Instagram and @eurovangelists.com on Bluesky, or send us an email at [email protected]. • Episode 92: Spooky Eurovision Songs
It wouldn't be a Halloween episode without an extra spooky guest, so we've got the winner of Season 2 of the Boulet Brothers' Dragula, Biqtch Puddin', on the show to talk all things creepy (both meanings). We take a look at the many songs over the years that aim for the darker side of the contest's fans, and to what degree they succeed or fail. Jeremy's begging for some color, Dimitry makes it clear which nicknames he will and will not accept, Biqtch takes a moment to appreciate a doily, and Oscar puts Luke Black in the line of fire.Atlanta Eurovangelists! • Episode 91: Inside the Eurovision Vault
Listen, we all love the Eurovision Classics: Waterloo, Love Shine A Light, etc. But sometimes these songs get a little overexposed, and that's when they need a few years to cool off in the Eurovision Vault. We take a look at a few songs that could use a rest as interval acts or medley choices, and offer up some replacements that might sound a little fresher to the ears of the discerning ESC fan. Jeremy's making a good living on the wages of love, Dimitry reveals his all-time Eurovision crush, and Oscar's shouting Hallelujah. • Episode 90: Daz's Eurovision (2006 BBC Documentary)
The UK's 2006 Eurovision entry was a song called "Teenage Life," which placed 19th. But what placed far higher in our hearts is the incredible BBC3 documentary Daz's Eurovision about the man, the myth, the legend, Daz Sampson. It's a veritable Spinal Tap's worth of hilarious moments, bizarre musical connections, and at least one moment where Daz suggests he's as good a songwriter as Paul McCartney. OGAE Ireland's president Frank joins us for a very fun deep dive into the doc.Watch (please) Daz's Eurovision here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uko7Rfgu4XwThis week's companion playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1pbE4upeQ6cJnnLiLcuva3 The Eurovangelists are Jeremy Bent, Oscar Montoya and Dimitry Pompée.The theme was arranged and recorded by Cody McCorry and Faye Fadem, and the logo was designed by Tom Deja.Production support for this show was provided by the Maximum Fun network. The show is edited by Jeremy Bent with audio mixing help was courtesy of Shane O’Connell.Find Eurovangelists on social media as @eurovangelists on Instagram and @eurovangelists.com on Bluesky, or send us an email at [email protected]. • Episode 89: Listener Postcards 2025
It's been almost a year since we devoted an episode to listener questions, so we're diving into our stack of postcards and answering questions of all kinds. We talk about Eurovision-related media, Eurovision-related SOCIAL media, and who will be the first to win out of the Iceland/Malta/San Marino trifecta of small but mighty nations. Jeremy defends Arcade but has to be true to his Soldi, Dimitry once more goes to bat as Ballad Guy, and Oscar can barely work his computer.Vote for us in the Signal Award's Listener's Choice: https://vote.signalaward.com/PublicVoting#/2025/shows/genre/musicOur How Did This Not Qualify playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2DC3am05GWWrNhLrnGjVlTOur Not Good Enough for ESC, But Good Enough for Me 2025 playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3eGz94smJNXQOMNWbvjLkjThis week's companion playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5YLN5WtHzLj5yMl5H5ewpD The Eurovangelists are Jeremy Bent, Oscar Montoya and Dimitry Pompée.The theme was arranged and recorded by Cody McCorry and Faye Fadem, and the logo was designed by Tom Deja.Production support for this show was provided by the Maximum Fun network. The show is edited by Jeremy Bent with audio mixing help was courtesy of Shane O’Connell.Find Eurovangelists on social media as @eurovangelists on Instagram and @eurovangelists.com on Bluesky, or send us an email at [email protected].
