What does human behaviour have to do with whether we are a good or bad investor? A lot! Which is why I was so pleased to have Dr. Daniel Crosby come on the show to share his insight on the podcast. From the Archives: Relistening to Millionaire Teacher Andrew Hallam Discuss The Joy of Balance
When I'm asked who my favourite personal finance author is, my answer is always the same: Andrew Hallam. His book Millionaire Teacher changed my life and the way I thought about money. But it was his second book, Balance, that cemented him as my all-time favourite. In this interview about this book, we discuss the connection between money and happiness, how to live a financially healthier life, and ultimately why balance, not money, is the goal and why we need to never lose sight of that. From the Archives: Relistening to My Grandpa and His Story Financial Journey
I'm so glad I started this podcast back in 2015 because it gave me the perfect opportunity to get a recording of my maternal grandpa, Jacques Hardy, before he passed away a few years later. And it's because of this recording I was able to more accurately share his financial journey in my book "Everything but Money." To say my grandpa came from humble beginnings is an understatement. Throughout childhood, scarcity was common place, but he was able to find a way out, get married, and make sure his children never had to experience going without like he did. He's always had such an optimistic nature, I think that must helped him along the way. I feel so lucky to share his story with you. From the Archives: Relistening to Cait Flanders Share Her Year of Less
One person I’ve always looked up to when it came to writing is my friend Cait Flanders. We’ve been friends for going on 10+ years now, getting to know each other when we were both just personal finance bloggers, but funnily enough we’ve never lived in the same city at the same time. Cait has always had such a way with words, which is why it was no surprise that her book The Year of Less is still a bestseller 7 years after it was published. It’s an incredible memoir about her upbringing, her personal and financial evolution, and of course her shopping ban story that went viral in the media. Here’s my interview with her when her book first came out which first aired on February 14, 2018.To find the original show notes for this episode visit jessicamoorhouse.com/144Follow meInstagram @jessicaimoorhouseThreads @jessicaimoorhouseTikTok @jessicaimoorhouseFacebook @jessicaimoorhouseYouTube @jessicamoorhouseLinkedIn - Jessica MoorhouseFinancial resourcesMy websiteMy bestselling book Everything but MoneyFree resource libraryBudget spreadsheetWealth Building Blueprint for Canadians course Hosted on Acast.
