  • Girly law of power #24: Let go of the need to be liked
We're taught from a very young age that our social acceptance depends on being liked. However, the patriarchy assumes women will always want to be liked, so it relies on that desire to keep us compliant & constantly seeking social approval. The thing is, most people don't even like themselves. So who cares if they don't like you. Besides, you're in a much better position to get what you want from the world when you don't give two hoots what others think. In this episode, we get into:The hidden reward/punishment system that keeps women stuck in a cycle of seeking validationHow being liked is a form of borrowed approvalWhy letting go of the need to be liked removes one of the patriarchy's most effective control levers over women How to leverage likeability to get what you wantOh and enjoy the extremely unserious skit at the beginning of this episode. ✨Hope you love it and can use this law to make your dreams come true. • Beware of "woke" men, they're dangerous
We tend to think that the alpha, macho men are dangerous because of their superiority complex (which is rooted in an inferiority complex). BUT what if I told you there's a category of men who are even more dangerous? They have a hidden agenda, a goal in mind, and they're clever enough to know how to push a woman's buttons. In this episode (whose topic you baddies voted on!), I get into why we need to be cautious of "woke" men (let's call them the deltas), especially romantically and professionally. • Girly law of power #23: Stop competing with other women
Scarcity leads to competition which leads to dehumanization. One of the gears that keeps the patriarchy turning is zero-sum thinking -- the belief that there's only a fixed amount of success, power, attention, or value to go around. So if someone else gets more, you must get less. This brainwashes us into believing in a scarcity mindset, which keeps us in the eternal rat race. Instead of seeing other women as allies, we perceive them as threats. Jealousy and envy oil the wheels of the patriarchy, and zero-sum thinking keeps those wheels turning on autopilot. We'll discuss:Why zero-sum thinking violates the very existence of the universe, which is rooted in abundanceWhy women are conditioned to see other women as threats rather than alliesHow rejecting artificial scarcity & having an abundance mindset are patriarchy hacks on an existential level How to exit the plane of competition and enter the plane of creationThe opposite of competing isn't collaborating -- it's creating. As women, we already ARE creators. It's time to exit the rat race and get back in touch with the essence of our being.✨Hope you love it and can use this law to make your dreams come true. • Is falling in love a patriarchal trap?
THE PATREON IS NOW LIVE!!! If you'd like to join our private community, complete monthly adventures on a specific patriarchy hack, get voting power on which girly law drops next, and unlock monthly bonus episodes, make sure to join here 🩷 (I've also opened up additional, limited spots to work with me 1:1!!!)As little girls, many of us fantasize about falling in love and getting married. But boys don't do the same. Men don't romanticize falling in love, getting married, and being husbands in the way women do. It's not their life's goal to fall in love. They don't see marriage as an accomplishment. In this episode, we'll get into the truth behind "love."I'll discuss what's really happening to our brains and hormones when we're "falling in love" (hint: it's a chemical reaction to push us to reproduce). Then we'll get into the social elements of falling in love, including the creation of marriage, and how love was weaponized as a tool to control women from the very start.Btw here's the book The Female Brain by Dr. Louann Brizendine🌸 IG: @baddestbinthebldg💓 TikTok: @baddest.b.in.the.bldg🖥️ Watch this episode on YouTube💘 Collabs/partnerships: [email protected]💌 Subscribe to The Baddie Brief a 1-minute read to give you a little reminder of a hack from one of the girly laws (that you prob forgot), delivered twice monthly on Fridays Hosted on Acast. Because when we really boil it down, the patriarchy is just a bunch of insecure dudes who've institutionalized gatekeeping. We'll discuss:Why we can't simply ask for things outrightThe mindset that keeps us stuck in limbo, asking for permission & waiting for opportunitiesThe art of elicitation and how to apply 5 of its techniques (there are 13 in total but 5 that are perfectly suited for our purposes)How to elicit the answers we need without making the person defensive or suspiciousBtw here's Chase Hughes, the former military chief and expert on elicitation✨Hope you love it and can use this law to make your dreams come true.
