    Gabriel Mintzer is a current PhD student in applied physics at Stanford University. While studying for his master’s degree at MIT in November 2021, he was struck by a truck while walking home. He was subsequently hospitalized and spent over half a year in rehab doing both inpatient and outpatient therapy.
